Most recently, she was one of the UAE ambassadors at COP28. He commenced his career with American Oil Company in 1987. Subsequently, he joined BP and held several positions, including Integrity Manager, Y2K Manager, Marine LPG and Condensate Terminal Manager, and HSSE Manager until 2010.

Ali then moved to Petrofac Middle East, North Africa, and the Commonwealth Independent States, where he served as Corporate HSSEIA Manager and eventually became Regional VP of HSSEIA.

In 2018, Ali was appointed Senior Vice President of HSSEIA for Petrofac's global Engineering & Construction division, and in June 2020, he assumed the position of UAE Country Chair.
